Smart Elderly Patient Monitoring Using AI
In this project we are detecting the activities of elderly patients using camera only. The system monitors patient behavior and identifies specific activities in real-time. It provides continuous surveillance and alert generation for caregivers and medical staff.

- Eating/drinking meal
- Medicine intake
- Chest pain
- Fall detection

- Generating video clips of alerts
- Sending alerts to GUI in real time
- Remote access login from anywhere
Hardware
- CCTV camera
- Edge device: Jetson Orin NX developer kit
Technology
We are able to detect these activities by using VLM model along with other deep neural models like Yolo, insightface to identify the patient in the given environment. We are also detecting the scene in the given frame after 120 frames.
