Battle Tank Training Simulator
ZATNav has developed advanced 6-DOF training simulator software (DITS) for Al Zarar, Al Zarar-1, Al Khalid, and Al-Khalid-1 platforms. Notably, we are the first to design and build simulator software specifically for Al-Khalid-1, setting a new benchmark in indigenous defense simulation.
Advanced Weather Simulation
Hazy, foggy, rainy, cloudy, and snowy weather conditions are fully simulated through a dynamic real weather system, combined with a realistic day and night cycle. These conditions continuously affect visibility, lighting, and environmental effects, significantly enhancing realism and enabling crews to train under true-to-life operational scenarios.
Dedicated Crew Compartments
Each simulator includes dedicated compartments for the Commander, Gunner, and Driver. Designed to replicate real ergonomics and operational workflows, these compartments support coordinated crew training and mission-ready performance.
Technical Architecture
The Tank Training Simulator (TrgSim) software suite comprises of the following:
- Simulation of physical phenomena related to the movement of the vehicle (mathematical model, vehicle dynamics and interaction with the environment etc.).
- Generation of a virtual environment and simulation of objects using Unity 3D (generating image, sound and feelings related to the movement of the vehicle and the surroundings).
- Instructor / operator station custom / dedicated software build using .NET framework.
- Various gauges and switches present in the vehicle developed in soft form using DevExpress.
- Interfacing with dynamic training simulator i.e. 6 DOF motion platform (using SimTools), and vehicle driving simulator hardware.
